Having spent a great deal of time in some
of the larger cities in the country I've witnessed a trend,
though not exclusive to the city. It is the propensity to
move so fast from one moment to the next that we don't allow
ourselves the opportunity to find the deeper meaning that
lies underneath every moment. This short (easy to carry) but
meaningful book is an opportunity to revisit some of those
missed moments and reach the pearl. The lyrical tapestry of
this book will make you angry, sad or laugh right out loud.
Diving touches on subjects like surrender (Die Already),
deep love (White Castle), nightmares (Fear),
injustice (Medicine), death (Stanley), sex (She
Liked Dick), and sensuality (I Love Rugs).
Diving works to support the part
of every soul that desires to ask the questions that aren't
easy to frame. To slow down and to hear an answer. Any answer.
Because any answer will effect you. Which is what a centered
mind seeks-- to be effected by and to affect their world for
the highest good of all concerned. Every soul that desires
to ask uncomfortable questions and receive unforgettable answers
will enjoy Diving again & again.
About Ora Nance:
Once upon a time there was a little girl
named Ora. She was a sweet yet strange child who loved to
make things in the mud...kitchen utensils, houses, people,
etc. Ora is the youngest of the eight children of James &
Ora Lee Nance. At the age of 14 Ora started writing her own
poetry and lyrics. For the past 20 years she's been sharpening
her talent as an actor (theatre, feature films and TV) writer
(prose, poetry and music for her first one woman show). Her
musical talents were featured as songwriter & singer in
the film Chain Of Desire. Her poetry has been published
in Poison Magazine and was chosen as "Editor's Pick" In The
International Poets Society 2002 edition. She is also a playwright,
screenplay writer, a director and producer.
Never forgetting her commitment to nature
and self-discovery Ora has woven earth images into many of
her pieces in a manner that reflects the human inner-journey.
Right now, between writings, Ora can be found laughing, praying,
helping babies come into the world (yep, she's a birthing
coach), perfecting her gumbo recipe and generally developing
her goddess self.
Stay tuned for the continuing story of
O--
