What happens when one little girl is too
nervous about leaving her mom on the first day of school?
She imagines a day with her mommy in her pocket.
Told in sweet couplets, this story assures
young ones that although they may be heading out on their
own, Mommy’s love is with them always.
This is Carol Hunt Senderak’s first
book for children. Carol finds inspiration for her stories
from the daily joys of being a mom, as well as from her own
childhood memories of growing up in a family of seven children.
Carol lives in Chicago with her husband and two daughters.
Hiroe Nakata grew up in Japan, encouraged
to draw by her grandfather, a painter. She attended the Parsons
School of Design and has illustrated several books for children.
She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
