"Mr. Jacob's writing is terse and
vivid." — New York Times Book Review
"Jacob creates sharp images and telling
phrases, but there's no self-conscious poetry here. His tone
is unemotional, detached, and spare." — Village
Voice
"I think you achieve effects through
the abruptness of your syntax (or lack of it) coupled with
an explosion of multiple startling images." — Lisel
Mueller, author of Alive Together: New And Selected Poems
(Pulitzer Prize, 1997)
